Encore (over 50) Bike Ride

ENCORE BIKE RIDE - Non-riders welcome, too (read on).

If you are at least 50 years of age, it’s time to roll! Join us Saturday, May 9th, 9:20AM, for a 34-mile round-trip bike ride with a 500' elevation gain.

This event is open for all levels of riders; however, you should have a basic level of fitness and be willing to ride as part of a supportive group.

PLEASE REGISTER SO WE KNOW WHO AND HOW MANY TO EXPECT.

We will begin on the east side of Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), 2150 E. Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92806, and ride to Huntington Beach. We will group up once we turn off the Santa Ana River West Trail and before riding on the boardwalk.

Lunch will be on your own at the Pacific City Shopping Mall. There are many food choices, or you can brown-bag it. We will spend about an hour and a half eating, fellowshipping, and enjoying the scenery in the open-air patio, which overlooks the beach, before starting our return bike ride to the ARTIC.

BIKES
All bikes are welcome, including e-bikes.

THE PACE
No faster than the slowest in the group (10 MPH)

5-ish hours

WHAT TO BRING
Helmet, repair kit, spare inner tube(s), air pump, and a positive attitude!

RESTROOMS
Restrooms are available at ARTIC and the Pacific City Shopping Mall. Outhouses are also available along the boardwalk.

FOOD
Pacific City Shopping Mall, 21010 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach, CA 92648.
There is space on the patio area for your bike.

OPTIONS
Half-Ride: If you want to do half the ride (17 miles), have someone pick you up at the Pacific City Shopping Mall or start your ride at the mall and ride to the ARTIC.

Non-Riders: Join us at the Pacific City Shopping Mall patio area for breakfast/lunch at approximately 11:00AM – 12:30PM.
